Great to explain different cultures

A great kids story to use to explain about different cultures and how people live in other countries or rural areas.

Actually, it's a book about children

I'm an adult but I find this book fascinating. Thanks to Amazon's World Book Day, I find this book and get some insights about how people lives in other side of the world.
People who don't live in big city tend to live by following the nature's rhytm instead of changing the nature to their liking and I find it beautiful.

Honestly, I thought this book was charming. The story was engaging, and I learned something about a region of the Amazon I'd never heard of. The artwork was very cute. This was a free book Amazon gave out among their 2020 National Book Day freebies. I originally thought "I'm not going to download a kids' book", but then I downloaded it anyway because it was free and I like free. And I'm glad I did!

Winter has arrived, and it's time for the people of a Tapajós riverside community to move for the rainy season. This picture book follows along with a day in the life of a young boy who lives in the Amazon forest as his family relocates for the season. I find the art unusual but charming. The story itself is simple, cute, and edifying to those who, like me, don't know about this aspect of the Amazonian populações ribeirinhas.

Every year I like to include a children’s book in my books of the year because I love a quick easy jump into the ways in which people creatively explain the world to children. I love seeing the images and the simple themes stuffed into books to open children’s eyes! This book stumbled into my lap as part of Amazon’s Discover World Books week- offering nine free downloads for Kindle people. Sweet read and sweet new perspective:)

Beautiful illustrations but I thought the story was very basic.

While I expected a bit more from the story, overall it was plain and simple, but nice enough. Now, what really made the book enjoyable, though, was the art! I think the art style was simple, but it fit the story and the colours were really gorgeous. The vibrant greens, burnt oranges and light beiges and yellows painted a beautiful picture of the environment, made the book visually enjoyable and upped the book's rating.

Cute Story

The artwork is fun, filled with bright colors. The adventure of the siblings is cute, although even a children's book could a little more detail. Eight weddings in a day? Cool. What would the weddings look like? If everyone moves when it rains, what is their new home like and how is it different than the home they left? If a book leaves you wishing for more, that's a good thing, but it also left me feeling that I didn't get much in the way of story. So, back to the art. I liked the art.
