Es wird die Geschichte erzählt, wie Francis Ackermann jr. entkommen und zum Serienkiller werden konnte. Er ist als Figur sehr faszinierend geschrieben. Für seine Gegenspielerin, die Dr. Jennifer Kelly, konnte ich mich nicht ganz so begeistern, ihre Handlungen/Überlegungen nicht ganz nachvollziehen.

Aber das ganze Buch ist kurz und spannend.

Den ersten Teil der Ackermann-Reihe von Ethan Cross kannte ich bereits. Dieser Kurzkrimi sollte mich in der Entscheidung unterstützen, ob ich die Folgebände lese. Wirklich überzeugt hat es mich leider nicht. ich würde das Buch nur Ackermann-Fans empfehlen. Für sich alleine betrachtet ist das Buch eher unspektakulär.
