Like always Stephanie manages to deliver a magical, gut wrenching, heartbreaking, heart warming and plot twist full story that keeps you hooked from start to finish. I absolutely love how she writes and this is another stunning example of how amazing her writing is. I love that you get to know more about Jacks in this book and that you see the relationship between him and Evangeline evolve. The ending had me on the edge of my seat. I did not see any of it coming and I was shook. Idk how I’ll survive not knowing what happens till the third book comes out…

I preferred this book to the first, I think, but largely because I knew the world a bit better. Main character was slightly less aggravating this time, but still annoying in her repeating the same mistakes. Some of the twists were fairly obvious, but there were plenty of them packed in.

Nothing beats the original Caraval book, but I love this spin off, especially since Jacks is my favorite character. I enjoyed this one even better than ‘Once Upon A Broken Heart’ Lots of truths are revealed and we learn a lot about Jacks past. The ending was shocking and amazing and I’m desperate for the next book!
