I was afraid that this layout for the novel, a person going through her ex-boyfriend's things and having flashbacks, would be too structured and might come out contrived, but I think it worked. I found it twisty and turny, which I really liked. I didn't feel like there was a tremendous amount of grief coming from the main character, but I hated the mom super a lot. What kind of MONSTER makes an ex-girlfriend come over and sort through their dead ex-boyfriend's things??
