This was insightful and informative memoir, focusing on Bretécher's struggle with Pure O, a type of OCD characterised by intrusive thoughts and no outwardly visible or obvious compulsions. I liked her writing style and it's an emotional and honest read. I knew nothing about the subject beforehand and found this did a good job of explaining the condition from both a clinical and personal perspective.
