Not what I expected. I think I would have enjoyed it better if I would have learned the motivation behind Robyn Davidson's trip: why she was doing what she was doing. At book's end I still don't know why she trekked all that way by herself, and I'm not quite sure I even care. She wrote beautifully of the Australian wilderness, of her affectionate relationship with her four camels and her dog, Diggity, but in the end it wasn't enough to give this book a higher rating. Not a book I would recommend.
