Oh man, this was kind of bad. I knew Colleen Hoover's "romance" books weren't for me, but this one was marketed as "a Colleen Hoover book for those who don't like her other books", so I had at least some hope. But this was just so flimsily written, almost amateurish, in the sense that it feels like a rough draft with a general idea of a plot that you expect the author to come back to and polish to actually make it readable. The characters have paper thin personalities, and the main character just constantly oscillates between being horny and being scared, and its just frustrating and exhausting to no end. The letter at the end especially feels like something the author thinks would be an amazing twist and just blow everyone's mind, but without having built any characters to the point that I care about in a badly written story, the ending just like the rest of this book feels pointless.

I can't with Coleen Hoover. Like she is GOOD GOOD... I was hooked from the start and I can't think of anything bad to say. That was 5/5 one for me.

I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. The story is an easy read, and I am still wrapping my head around everything that has (and hasn't) happened... The book I read does not include the bonus chapter, which is a shame because it is a necessary chapter imo.
