It's been a long time since I read the first book, so I was a little sketchy on the characters, but I was more prepared for the style of the book. It was very dark; like I remember the first one being. An evil magician is trying to summon a demon to have ultimate power. Jack and Kathryn end up having really intense dreams that are also real and magician tracks them through the dreams, but the demon saves them in the dreams. Ritualistic murders, kidnapping, and magic. I liked that the silly plastic magic wand ended up being the item that saved the day. Not planning on reading any more of this series.

This being the third book I’ve read in this series, I must say that this story disappointed me. I simply didn’t finished. The concept seemed forced. There were a lot of sexual scenes since the beginning (but they were where just dreams), poor character development, the story gets confusing and the paranormal part is completely unnecessary.
So… this one was not for me at all. I liked the other two books, but this one I just lost interest.

I enjoyed this book - a good, easy read.
