I was hoping that by the third book there would be more character development, but unfortunately, there was almost none. I guess what’s really irking me is that while her relationship with Malachi and Wolf (and her love for them) make sense with the story’s progression (to some extent), her love for Rylan comes kind of out of nowhere. What changed about him or her that made them compatible? One second he was rude and hated her and the next she loves him? I don’t know, it just didn’t work for me. I enjoyed the first book, but it was a bit downhill from there. I needed just a bit more character development.

Okay, this was not BAD but it wasn't as good as Heir. This review is going to serve as some overall thoughts for the trio/book as a whole.

I think Heir had the strongest plot and driving force behind it. Though it's technically the middle of the story, it didn't sag like Queen seemed to have trouble with. I found myself skimming paragraphs because there was just the same information repeated constantly. At one point I was like, damn Mina we know you're pregnant, tired, and confused let's have some actual plot.

I'm actually very interested to see how Katee Robert blends all three of these novellas into a book. I think they'll serve as a far better reading experience not split up and bogged down by recaps every five pages.

Overall, not a bad series/boom. I laughed out loud so much at the snarky commentary and I'm genuinely excited to check out the monster series just for some Azazel content. Overall 4/5 for all three, read these if you want a fun, brainless activity.

• probs my least fave of the three
• not enough Rylan time
• definitely felt a bit too monotonous
• action scenes were too fast, not enough happened
• wish we had multiple pov, would’ve liked to see the capturing part and the thirst from the guys’ perspectives

TWs: mention of abortion, pregnancy, fire, blood, explicit sexual content, abusive father, vomiting, kidnapping

I did not like this one. There wasn’t enough plot to be a good story and not enough smut to be good erotica. Plus all the typos were killing me. I don’t know if I’ll be reading anything else from this author.

Smut book lol. The plot is really only there so that the smut can exist, but it is interesting!

this book was a lot of fun. It had a lot more plot than the other books but the ending fell just a bit flat for me. However I loved the epilogue and am even more excited for her new books now! I had no idea they were a spin off of this series
