Another wonderful addition to the Mouse Guard series. This book is a collection of short stories from various authors and illustrators. Some stories were incredible while others were okay. Fans of the series should definitely pick this up.

A wonderful book that really fleshes out the Mouse world. Some of the stories are obviously better than others, but they're all worth your time. The framing device is charming too, and provides us with some David Petersen art giving the whole thing an ongoing continuity. The art for the individual Legends varies, and everyone will prefer different styles of course. There's some really beautiful work in these tales though. I hope there's another, similar collection in future.

As always, very charming. This volume takes in some guest artists and stories, but Petersen weaves them all together as a night of the mice sharing stories at the inn. All the art and tales are amazing, though I think my favorites are "The Raven" and "Potential". "The Raven" is Edgar Allen Poe done with a mouse and the dark, painterly style goes perfectly with it. I thought that was really creative. And I enjoyed the heroism of the guardmice in "Potential".

Exceptional art and story. If I collected graphic novels, I would definitely have this series.

Hit or miss, I guess some of em are always gonna miss, huh?

Really though, I wasn't into all these stories but I loved all the tavern scenes. I'm so into this atmosphere and setting so I think I will REALLY enjoy the main series. It would probably give me appreciation of these stories much more as well.

This is a fun little collection. It lacks the depth of the other Mouse Guard stories, and some stories are stronger than others, but it works as a nice little nibble while you're waiting for the next Mouse Guard book. It's also really fun to see other people's take on the artwork.

Some of the stories were really excellent- in particular, I thought "Crown of Silver, Crown of Gold" by Mark Smylie was lovely, and the adaptation of Poe's "The Raven" by Jason Shawn Alexander was awesome. Some of the others were fairly good, but there were several I didn't care for, and some that just didn't suck me in that much. Still, an interesting collection.

I liked the layout of this story/graphic novel. Having the different stories being told by different mice at the tavern was interesting. I also liked how each story had a different artist to help separate the different stories.
