A really interesting insight into a particular place and time. Whilst many of his opinions now seem out-dated, and to be honest self-indulgent, the novelty of such an emphasis on nature and respecting the environment in this era shouldn’t be underestimated. Reflective and relaxing; I enjoyed taking a journey into a life I would never be able to experience, even with the periodical frustration at the author’s self-righteousness.
