Yes. Only two stars, and that is for the cliffhanger and "twist" near the end (or the beginning, if you've consumed enough of this kind of media you already know how the fork is attached to the beam before the author spells it out).

It bothered me a lot that Hunter supposedly is 19 in this book, but if he's younger than Cal was, that makes Cal at least 19/20 years old and that thus makes me wonder wtf he was doing in high school.
It also bothered me that after the major power charge in book 6, this time around Morgan seems like such a noob and she clearly has not undergone any growth. Goddess, I hope these characters get some more fleshing out in the next books.
Jumping into book 8 now lol.

Are the plot "twists" stunningly predictable? Yes. Do I utterly dislike the main character? Yes. Will I continue reading this series? Yes. God help me, I've come this far.

So I began this series with the audiobooks, but after book 5, no more audiobooks exist. I decided to continue on and follow through as far as I can tolerate. I'm starting to question how long I will last. The whole book was predictable which isn't necessarily bad. I just can't stand the forced self-destruction. I don't think it's realistic and very frustrating.

Another excellent plot by Tiernan. This series has me craving more and more. I will be disappointed when its over.

Eh. This one was kind of like a 2.5 stars. But I rounded up to three to be nice.
Also need to add how annoying Tiernan's constant overuse/misuse of the word "Wicca" is. Most times I can just ignore it, but in this book when one character referred to Mexican witchcraft as "Wicca" it really got me fuming.
