Wow. Not in a good way either....

I tore through this series utterly enthralled. I could not stand to put down the story for even a minute until I knew what was going to happen. I was totally thinking about how much I loved all this anticipation and how I would love getting to the end where Mary would find her peace, Alex and Kat would finally get together, and Reeve and Lil would get their happy ending. But that Is definitely not what happened. I was still totally with everything up until the epilogue. Then BAM! everything that has been building was just destroyed. Everyone just settles and moves on their merry way without even carrying those carefully crafted, seemingly very strong relationships with them. *SIGH*

Spoiler
The fact that Lillia and Reeve didn't even end up together after all that. Just wow. Whatever. I feel sick I got so invested.

This is one of my favorites! It isn't your typical book. The plot twist.. wow! I am truly speechless. I can't put it down. After I finish reading a chapter, I felt like I needed to read the next chapter. Then I continued turning the pages. I swear, this book is so exciting!

P.S. Don't read this when you're alone at night.. Or have exams tomorrow. Trust me on this.

As with most of the other reviews of this book, I was disappointed. The ending of this book seemed rushed and put together sloppily. I really loved Reave's character and think he had the best development over the series while the other three main characters' development fell short. Plus I really began to hate Mary with a passion. I wouldn't even bother reading the epilogue because it is disappointing and destroys everything that the books have built over the series. If not for the ending the first half of this book would have been 4 stars.

I wasn't blown away by the conclusion to this story, but I guess i was satisfied enough. I felt like it got super weird all of a sudden and after the 2nd book ended so well and wish such explosion, I was expecting more from this finale.

I really enjoyed most of the characters through the first two novels, but by this 3rd installment I hated both Mary and Lillia. They were both equally as obnoxious, though I suppose Mary had a right while Lillia was just an idiot. I thought the whole plot fell into a really weird rhythm and the original idea that we were lead to believe would have been a lot more interesting and realistic (obviously).

Anyway, I won't spoil anything for you, but I'm okay with how it ended and I'm glad I got to enjoy something so easy to read!
