I’m giving 2 stars and not 1 because I’ve really enjoyed the beginning. I think this book had an amazing start and could’ve been great, but the author just got lost. It was so confusing, with so many plot twists! Also it was so focused on one of the four characters that, in my opinion, was the most boring that we forgot about the others... I do not recommend this book.

Seemed like nothing was happening but it .... was! Quite clever! Loved the continuing arch of friendships changing over time.

A really gripping psychological thriller about four childhood friends going to a music festival to celebrate one of them turning 40.

The festival should be fun but what the four friends experience during this fateful weekend will really test their trust in each other. Will their friendship last the weekend?

The first book I’ve read by this author and certainly won’t be the last as I’ve ordered a few more by her.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and of course the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Orla, Lenny, Mel and Thea have been best friends since school but have drifted apart after twenty years. It's Lenny's 40th birthday, so Thea comes up with an idea - a weekend away at a festival where they all grew up.
But when the holiday takes a sinister turn, who will make it out alive?

Four friends, who have been friends since school, return to a festival for one of the groups 40th birthday that they had partied at when eighteen.
The book paces along, taking turns to see things from each of their viewpoints before and during the festival. It was an easy read but a little far fetched at the end. It has certainly put me off camping at a festival as a woman in my 40s!
