It was just kind of meh.

Yeah this was the kind of books where I DNFed for the most obvious reason: nothing much was happening. The premise intrigued me, and I instantly want to read it, but there was something about the scavenger hunt that was just...not my thing.

Also I didn't appreciate the bashing of the mc's ex best friend (whose name I alr forgot; my point exactly). Yes, she was a fashionista. Yes, she was ambitious. Yes, she was goal-oriented. Is that so bad? I was only at about the 40% mark and I could already tell she put in more effort into the scavenger hunt than the mc. Considering the fact that there was $100,000 at stake, I did not appreciate the mc's lazy attitude then unfounded confidence about winning, much less insulting the one who was actually working hard.

This was such a fun, adorable, easy read. I adored all of the classic literature references and how Britt wasn’t the typical heroine you find in romance novels. A perfect read for when you want something fun and happy.
