Brilliant. Loved. Chet gives off big Seahawk from She-Ra vibes. Mbot and Doomslug pull on my heart strings again. And we get a fun side quest adventure full of pirates and INSANE lore? No notes. Also Hesho wisdom now fills my mind and I need an entire book just of his quotes.

I was slow reading this for personal reasons, but at one point I was like "damn, this reveal not hitting at all", then a few pages later I'm CRYING over something else so...
If I hadn't taken so many long pauses between attempts to read this, perhaps it would be 5 stars?

This is a perfectly fine third installment in a YA sci fi series, but this book is where the story really started to get reptitive. Spensa is in a new location, forms a flight with some unlikely companions and trains them in dogfighting.

This was a filler book. I honestly hate to say it but I didn’t really care for this. It didn’t truly get good until the last 50 pages or so. There were parts I skimmed, I read quick to finish quick. I’m just a little disappointed. Though I enjoyed that ending so that made up for a big chunk of it..
