Continuing on with the Johannes Cabal series comes the first novella Johannes Cabal and the Blustery Day. What a fun and exciting read. Jonathan L. Howard is definitely a "show me" author.

Fun short story about Johannes being clever and outwitting even wind. Nothing much else to say about it, really, except that it was fun and as creative as all the books. :)

Read this because I needed to fulfil a readathon prompt, but it is quite interesting. I am going to try at least one full-length book to see if this something I want to finish though.

Great mini story in the Cabal series. This is the very first story Howard ever wrote featuring Johannes Cabal.
This was an early writing of Howard's that he never thought would get published until finally he was asked if it could be included in H.P. Lovecraft's Magazine of Horror compilation. Good thing it was; this is a good one!

A hors d'oeuvre that whets the appetite, and I'm glad this was released on kindle otherwise it would've been impossible to read it. Happily, the reader finds that Cabal hasn't changed at all between this early appearance to the familiar figure of the novels. That is to say, more chances of enjoying his dry-humoured presence in the form of short stories, undiluted by concerns of whether length and time difference would waver anticipation.
