I once again adore the art in this series. Each page should be framed and put on a wall. Well... some of the pages are a little gory for that, but still everything is amazingly drawn. Following Maika as she tries to find answers to the million questions to her past and what is inside her is always a great journey to follow. Once one question is ansered 20 more pop up, and I love it. I'm intrigued by everything and just want to know. These volumes love to end the last couple pages in a way that has you raring to pick up the next volume. Thankfully I already own the 3rd volume and am ready to get started to see answers and learn more questions we should be asking.

I like that we are further introduced to this thing connected to M.

Seeing other types of characters with animalistic appearances was really cool. Especially M's family, for some reason I thought she was the sole member of the Halfwolves and was floored that a characteristics knew was her kin (not spoiling).

All I pray is that Little Fox stays unharmed because she puts so much trust into M. She better not break my favorite characters heart🥺🤬

It’s been a long time since I’ve read something that I couldn’t put down, so reading this was like a breath of fresh air.

The story is dark and violent, but there’s a thread of hope that broke out in the most surprising ways. I loved seeing the characters change in this second volume. I never expected so much depth of character development from a graphic novel, but I severely underestimated “Monstress”. I can’t wait to continue with this series!
