I really enjoyed this story! I was so excited to finally get Sybil's story! It was cool the way that the other dragons were introduced to us. Aleksei is an interesting character lol. Aleksei and Sybil have a lot of misunderstandings. He is a prince and from a different culture. There are some things lost in translation and then just in expectations. Aleksei and Sybil are fated mates and both know immediately but his high handedness turn Sybil off. I liked Aleksei though. He needs a little help, which he gets from her friends on why he insulted her in the beginning. I loved the way that he handled it. This story introduces a few different things going on and also wraps up some things. There is plenty of action and intrigue in this story to hold your attention. This is the 8th book in the series but it can be read as a standalone. I do think that you will get more enjoyment out of it if you've read the previous books, at least a couple of them. There are a lot of recurring characters and so you get the extra pleasure of catching up with them and just seeing them again. The sex is explicit but not frequent at all, which totally makes sense with the characters and story. I can't wait to see what happens next in this world!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
