This spinoff was quite bizarre. It features Rohan who we are introduced in part four, Diamond is Unbreakable. There is four short stories following the famous manga artist. This volume covers At a Confessional to Poaching a Seashore. Only the first three stories were adapted into in an anime spin off. So reading the last one was a surprised.

These stories really felt like something out of the twilight zone. The “Mutsu-kabe Hill” episode was probably the most horror like and disturbing. It had such a strong telltale-heart undertones to it. Although, I think my favorite had to be “Millionaire Village.”

I also found it cute that Rohan had a sailor moon collection.

The art is so stunning in my opinion. There is a such a focus on the fine details. Also, the clothing designs Ararki designs are always so stunning. We can talk about the cover design for this volume? It really is absolutely gorgeous.

I love small details Ararki includes. Like in the last few pages, you just see a glimpse Josuke’s head turned away from the reader. Small cameos with the characters from part four really put a smile on face.

Anyways, Rohan was one of my favorite characters from part four. Reading the first spin off volume was a treat. I look forward to reading volume two. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is a fan of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. Or just for an interesting, supernatural read.
