Does what it says on the tin: one hundred stories about dogs that had an influence, however small, on history, culture, literature, science, etc. Some of these anecdotes will make you smile, some will tug at your heart. The illustrations are amusing, as well.

Short and sweet-- each story is 1-2 pages in length (in Kindle pages, anyway) so this was the perfect book to read while I was sitting during scenes or songs I wasn't playing in the pit. It was great reading about Greyfriars Bobby and Hachiko again, while also learning of other valiant, loyal, and loving dogs.
