What a book! I’m speechless! The stories are unreal but told with humor that was cathartic. Whether or not you’re a Trevor Noah fan, you have to read this book. I’m so glad he shared his stories with the world.

Wow - not only very insightful on the casual cruelness of Apartheid but especially the portayal of an inspiring, fearless, determinded woman - Noah's mother. Captivating to read and remember through Noah's years of development how different life could go with one decision and how people can beat the odds.

While I found the timeline a bit confusing at times, this memoir showcases true intelligence in humour, emotions and social commentary.
