I'm not sure if this is magical realism or something else. One of the stories dragged for me but the rest made me think and were a breeze to read.

These short stories explore human relationships, projection, missed opportunities, and the chance for resolution. Margaret Atwood crafted a lovely set of stories that represent the experience of aging and lifetimes of interweaving relationships. Short stories aren't usually my thing, but I am glad I stepped outside my usual patterns and picked up this book. It is very different than the other books of hers that I have read, but it shares a deep understanding of human experience.

Extremely well-written, but just didn't hold my interest. Nothing compelled me to pick up the book when I had free time to read, hence the 4 weeks between start and finish.

Wicked good fun. Great themes of aging, marriage, sex, infidelity, betrayal.

I don’t like books without a drive. It’s just meandering on thoughts and feelings without a real purpose. Just not for me.
