"Be patient towards all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given to you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer. Perhaps you do carry within yourself the possibility of shaping and forming as a particularly happy and pure way of living; train yourself to it - but take whatever comes with great trust, and if only it comes out of your own will, out of some need of your inmost being, take it upon yourself and hate nothing."

didn’t expect 10 little letters to have such an impact on me but here we are 😭😭

I’m not exaggerating when I say that this is one of the best things I’ve ever read and I genuinely learned so many lessons by reading this oh my god

I feel like this was literally written for me, I already have such a  strong connection to it and it’s only been a couple of minutes 💀

I think that this is something I’ll reread  a lot and learn something new every time, and I can’t wait 🙏🙏🙏

Rilke me ha sujetado por los hombros y me ha hablado al alma.

such interesting insight into the mind of a travelling european poet. so different but such universal feelings and thoughts. letter writing is such a beautiful human act. it's kinda poetic how we don't get to read any of Herr Kappus' letters to Rilke, he seemed so inspired and connected to him.
