This book was free for a short time at Amazon.com's Kindle store, I bought it thinking I might read it but maybe not. One day I was bored and read it. I really enjoyed it. I love Thorn. The story was good, though predictable but it was a nice change for a light easy read.

This shows definite potential. I think it's a series, and I'd like to read more if there are more. It was free for Kindle when I got it, so I was pleasantly surprised.

I got about 50% into this book and decided to give up. I NEVER leave a book unfinished but I will make an exception for this.

I don't know about young adult. Maybe this should be filed as a children's book. The characters were plastic, the plot completely predictable, and the writing boring. As if that wasn't enough, the editing is deplorable, especially for the Kindle which I assume is where the largest audience for this book will be viewing it since it was offered for free to Kindle users.

Putting this down and moving on.

I decided to download this cause it was free. All I can say it wasn't worth downloading even though it was free and it's too bad no stars isn't an option...

This takes me back to my childhood. One of my earlier series I came across one winter's day in my school library as a teen. I remember rereading this countless times.

Many, many years forward I've decided to take a trip down memory lane as these mystical, whimsical, witchy vibe books seemed perfect for spooky month reads. I wanted to see how my perspective has changed and whether I'll still love and enjoy this series as I once did.

I did. I do. Perhaps not to the extent as my once youthful naive self would've rated it (she rated it 5 stars) but it's valid both ways. The story is definitely catered to the young-to-mid teens group but it proves to still be an enjoyable journey that's fast, mysterious and a little romantic.

I find Sabine to be a little more self righteous to what I remember, but it's easier to forgive a series of the small imperfections considering it came out in 2004. Need to remind myself that's actually quite a while ago...

I've no recollection of what happens after Book 2 though so the mystery still stands strong and I'm excited to embark down this journey a little more.

I guess I just expected something way more supernatural instead of corny, poorly constructed teen drama mystery. I'll probably read on with the series however.

I got this free for kindle and I've been putting off reading it because I didn't think I'd like it. Well I really liked it and will continue reading the series. I really like Sabine and Dom. Light read but worthwhile
