Loving this series! I read this one first before Ryder and it was still great! Adam and Jadyn have a great meet cute!! Lots of danger, suspense and romance! A trademark Rocki story!! Fully fleshed characters that had great backstories!! Ms. St. Claire always keeps you on your toes!!

Adam was the exciting second book in the new 7 Brides for 7 Soldiers multi-author series. This particular romance was by Roxanne St. Claire, who threw her characters into all kinds of danger while they were falling completely and utterly in love.
I was so happy to get to read Rocki’s latest book, especially since it’s part of this incredible series which features so many big name authors. And this story had all of the elements I love in her work: passionate, genuine romance, a tight knit group of friends and family, and really interesting backstories for each character. Adam Tucker is rehabbing a building to be a camp for at-risk kids. He reluctantly asks Jadyn McAllister to help with the design. Jadyn is really Jane McAllen. Adam does trust her because he knows she is holding back. He bares his sole and tells her about his last rescue in the Coast Guard. Jane tells him most of her story. She does a great job on decorating the boathouse and using part as a museum of the towns military history and falling in love with Adam and the town. The reason Jane is running catches up with her but Adam saves her. I loved Adam and his commitment. I also like that he didn't want to get involved with someone who wasn't willing to trust him. Jane was a great character. She had a difficult past but made something of herself. They were great together.

I love a series where several authors get together and create a set of individual stories around a certain theme. In this case, 7 soldiers who grew up in Eagle Ridge will come home to settle down and find a life and love and happiness in unexpected places.
In book 2 of this series, Roxanne St Claire tells the story of Adam Tucker who owns a rafting and kayaking tour company with his twin Zane. As part of the comapny, Adam wants to use a warehouse on the property to create a bunk house. He wants to use it to host summer camps for troubled young people. The only problem is that he only has 3 weeks to finish the renovations. Luckily, an interior designer just happens to drop into his lap but she's got more secrets than the CIA. She's on the run from a drug-lord and is under the protection of the FBI.
He needs help and she needs a job - together they work to complete the project but also to help each other get over damaging events in their past.
Roxanne St Claire does a great job with her descriptions of the environment - the mountains, the river, the raging storms... She does an even better job with the dialogue between Adam and Jane/ aka Jayden. They each have their secrets and yet they haven't been able to open up to anyone before. For two people who are so independent and closed off it is even more exciting to see them get their Happily Ever After.

Adam is the second book in the 7 Brides for 7 Soldiers series, but can easily be read as a stand-alone story. Adam and his brother along with friends they met in detention in high school make up the 7 soldiers who have served in the various branches of the military. These 7 men have remained the best of friends and are always there for each other when needed.
After leaving the Coast Guard following losing a teen on a rescue, Adam Tucker has plans to open a youth camp in his hometown. Of course where he wants to set up the camp needs major work and he has a short amount of time to get it finished thanks to the bet he makes with his twin brother Zane. When Jadyn shows up to help out with interior decorating for the camp, I have to say I didn't love seeing Adam blow her off so quickly initially. She was exactly what he needed to win the bet with Zane and make his dreams come true.
Jadyn "Jane" McAllister really is an interior decorator, but Jadyn isn't her real name. She is in hiding thanks to doing a decorating job for someone in a major drug cartel. Now I'll say right up front, I totally questioned how Jane was told to go off the grid and hide under another name without having a contact in the area where she was going. I really did like Jane from the moment we met her and knew that Adam did as well, even as he could tell she was hiding something. I loved her ideas to bring the history of the town into the boathouse where the troubled teens would stay at the camp. I loved that Jane needed to learn more about the area to finish up the boathouse, which meant meeting Adam's grandfather and the the other men who named Eagle's Ridge. It also allowed Adam and Jane more time together, and for their chemistry and connection to grow.
I really enjoyed watching Jane and Adam fall for one another. It wasn't and easy path for either of them, but it was the right path for them. I really loved the chemistry between them and loved how their differences made them work as a couple. I really did love that Adam cared enough about Jane pretty early on to check in on the story with friends who had connections. I hated that Jane didn't initially understand his motivation at first, and wanted her to trust him more. I loved that Adam ended up showing Jane he would do everything in his power to always protect her.
Roxanne St. Claire once again gives her readers a wonderful story that at time keeps you on the edge of your seat reading. The romance between Adam and Jane was strong and I loved getting to meet so many other characters from the series.

I said this with the first book in the series - I love this town. The idea of a series where the town as much a character as the hero and heroine are some of my favorites. What makes this series better is that since it is multiple authors and a book is released each week we dont have a long wai, we also get introduced to the other characters little by little before the hero's title
Adam is a twin (as a Mom to twins I have a soft space in my heart for charactwrs who are twins) and older brother to Bailey. Bailey and Ryder's romance might be thawing out the feud between the Tuckers and Westbrooks. He has made a bet with his twin and nothing will stop him from making his bunkhouse remodel happen. Jadyn might be the perfect person to help him with his vision.
Adam is a character I could love from the first page. I felt for his personal pain, and I could agree with his caution with the mysterious designer.
Jadyn as a character was hard for me to embrace. Not only was she guarded with Adam, but I felt she was guarded with the readers too.
My favorite part the continuity with book 1, it is so good.
