It's another book where the concept of "influencers" constantly needs to be explained to people who don't have time to be on the internet, apparently. This was a fast read, I found it entertaining, if a little canned. Very functional, but not a lot of personality, if that makes any sense.

I had quite high expectations for this book, because I really enjoyed the first book in the series. BUT this book let me down quite a bit. I feel like it read younger than it was, it could almost have been a YA mystery. I also kind of saw the resolution from a mile away, and not gonna lie the characters were quite stupid they didn't see it...

I would describe this as a pretty average crime thriller. It was slow for the most part, though I wouldn't say I was bored. I just wasn't super excited to pick up the book. There was a completely random and unnecessary romance weaved into the plot. Abduction and serial killers are a big part of the plot in this one, so I would say if you don't enjoy those things (like me), then this probably isn't the book for you. There was also a lot of influencer talk that I wasn't a huge fan of either. The writing and audiobook were good, but overall this was pretty mid and unmemorable for me. I could recommend it to people who like this sort of book, but I don't think I'm one of them.
