Content Warnings: Sexual scenes, death of a parent, cancer, flashbacks of witnessing the sexual assault and rape of a loved one, and mention of domestic abuse.

I've been meaning to read this book for a while and I finally decided to give it a go. This was an interesting read and I loved that the author chose to write a woman who's never experienced and orgasm and doesn't even believe it's possible to do so...and even when she's meets and falls for the leading man...it still takes time and trust for her to open up and be able to experience that connection with him. It's an experience a lot of women go through and I was so happy that the author took their time with it.

At times the leading lady and leading man did make me want to smack and shake them and tell them to get out of their own asses...but it happens lol

The only thing that felt a bit ick...and fetishy was the way Jonas kept talking about Sarah's "olive skin"...like excessively. And the first time he mentions wanting to see her skin on his bed...just gave "white man fetishizing another brown girl" vibes... If you are able to look past that the story is a lot of fun. I didn't realized that all 4 books in this series focused on Jonas and Sarah...I thought it was going to feature different couples...I haven't decided if I want to read more or just pretend their HEA started at the end of book one 😅

Addicting!

What is the opposite of a slow burn? Chemistry that takes off on page 1 and sets the pages on fire? Whatever it is, that is this book. Jonas is cocky and arrogant, and Sarah sees through it immediately. I love their banter, their chemistry, and all the sexual tension! But there is more to Jonas than no one sees, except Sarah. She sees through his outward persona and sees his sadness. Hit me in the feels so hard! Give me a damaged cocky guy with a soft melty center every day of the week! Yes please! Love this book! Diving into book 2 immediately!

I’m Hooked

Jonas Faraday. Well, he really let it all out in his application to The Club. Sarah did his intake paperwork and from there the fun began. They were both able to SEE the other before they ever met in person. Jonas is a cocky SOB, but Sarah is the perfect counterpart. I love how this book didn’t leave me with a cliffhanger for their relationship, but did have more to come in their lives. Off to book 2!

Two intelligent, but broken, people meet. This is their story. 18+ only. It's like I'm right there. Ms Rowe's writing and narrating is phenomenal!! This is the first in the series!

I went into this book as a suggestion from a friend. I didn’t read the blurb. I bit the pillow and I went in dry - or so to speak.

I was looking for Romance, Smut and also humour. And this hit the nail on the head and more.

I’m not going to go into the book and dissect it, you just gotta believe me that you’ll enjoy it.

5/5 stars! It was ~madness~ and I can’t wait to start book 2!!!

Peace.
