This was a good old who-done-it mystery crime thriller. It was entertaining and easy to read, but not a novel I would find myself chewing on in the days after finishing. The characters are flawed and the narrator has just enough snark to make this an enjoyable read at the end of a long day when I’m tired and cynical, and want something to help me wind down. I listened to the audiobook version read by MacLeod Andrews which might have helped the snark along. I would consider the next book in the series when I’m next in the mood for this type of read.
