This is one of the books I would take out at the library over and over again as a child. God knows why. Before this re-read I didn't remember much of the story but I knew it involved a girl who was bitten by a werewolf as a child in France and that she eats raw meat as a symptom of her own impending wolfhood. There's a limp romance with a motorbike-riding wolf-boy, a non-wolf love interest who just can't let go and a satisfying scene in which our heroine gores a mean girl. Probably not one I'll revisit (again) but it was a nice bit of nostalgia and the purple and green jacket sure looks handsome on my shelf.
