The thing I loved was how S.A. Chakraborty wrapped up all of these character stories and plots so so nicely! It was wonderful for an author to write plots from their very first book and be able to end them appropriately by their last book. Each character's stories ended so perfectly and it made me so happy to find them in these places in their lives.
The characters are honestly such well written and multi layered! I adore these characters and part of me is sad to leave these characters behind. Dara is my favorite, his arc was so devastating and heartbreaking at times. It was so lovely for him to finally start to find some sort of peace with himself and begin the process of redemption. Ali's arc came full circle in this one and he finally found a place where he can fully belong. Nahri finally regain her agency and found a family she could call her own on her own terms. Jamisid and Zaynab were standout side characters and it was nice to see them have a bigger part in this story. Jamisid was such a great brother to Nahri and Zaynab had her own moments of empowerment yet she used her words instead of having to resort to violence. Muntanhir was nice to see to using his diplomacy and charisma to get himself out of the worst situation imaginable.
The ending of this series wrapped up so well and the alternate epilogue at the end made me wish the author would put that idea into a series. That would be a group I would love to see and read about their adventures in this world. While I am sad to see this world go I am happy that I gave this series a chance. One of the best fantasy trilogies I have read and enjoyed ever!

The book kept me from start to end and despite its length, I finished it with an ungraceful speed (a little more than two days..). I did not expect that I could learn even more about the characters - wonderful complexity, this novel is the most detailed of all three -, nor did I anticipate myself shedding a few tears for
Deducting a quarter star because personally, it felt a little rushed towards the end!
A story is truly well written if I still think about the characters and am even looking up fanart.
