“But I think you’re right. With the right person, I don’t think it matters what you do or where you are.”

Brendon is a romantic and a creator of a dating app to help people find their "one". His sister's friend Annie comes to visit before moving away to London. Annie isn't a romantic and isn't looking for love but what is she suppose to do when her friends brother is determined to prove to her romance is real.

I loved Brendon, him being the one obsessed with love, grand gestures, and romantic movies is such a breath of fresh air. Annie was great character and her being the opposite just made this dynamic a lot of fun. I did get annoyed with Annie and her decisions quite a bit, but was very happy to see her grow.

I loved the overall story, side characters and laughed out loug multiple times. There was insta-love but I honestly believed it. I loved Written in the Stars so was obviously very excited to pick this one up. I highly recommend this and really enjoyed reading it.

Two normal, lovely people meet in a normal way and fall in love. There is no plot except their own personal foibles. It's delightful.

I love a second chance romance and characters that come back to each other. This story was cute and sweet and I overall really enjoyed it but it was also a bit generic. I won't reach for it again but it was sweet at the time.

Love the bi representation and all the queer the characters in the whole series that we see throughout each book.

I enjoyed this well enough and I'll probably reach for the other ones in the series to complete the set. It was a cute rom com and I thought the characters were sweet.

So Brendon and Annie got another star because they both love Up. They lost a star because of one cringe scene and I don't want to spoil. I adored the Bi rep right off the bat because it lets you know that Annie likes more than the opposite sex, in the beginning Annie noticing how cute the female presenting barista and she even tells Elle bi girls for the win later.

I love Brendon's love for being romantic and the romcoms films and references, and him being a matchmaker, breaking the gender norms. Honestly if Annie wasn't so perfect for him, I'd make him my book boyfriend. The strong friendships especially the female ones made me so happy this is something we need more in books.
