If you liked "Guilt Trip", book 4 of Blanco County mysteries, you will like this one also. The game warden solves more murders and works on his love life and his grief after losing his wife to cancer.

Bone Dry is a fun and humorous mystery romp written in the spirit of Carl Hiaasen although set in Texas rather than Florida. Rehder has a good comedic writing talent. I recommend this book if you like Hiaasen, Dave Barry or Bill Fitzhugh.

Loved this book! A good mystery that keeps you on your toes. I was able to solve some of the mysteries, but not all of them - just like a good mystery. The book moves at a good pace.
One word of warning for those reading on a Kindle - it's not easy to differentiate between sections. One minute you're reading about characters A and B. You move onto a new paragraph with character C and as you finish the paragraph you realize you're actually in a new scene altogether. The hardcopy version may be different. Once you get used to the lack of obvious transitions you're good, but it took some time to get used to.
