Very solid mystery , really like how this guy writes his stories , you never know what’ll happen and you’re  ever able to guess until he’s led you down that path. I really enjoy how the characters in the book leave no stone unturned and any loose ends you’re curious about will 100% get resolved and you’ll get a satisfying worth while end to the mystery.

2.5 stars rounded up

This one was a bit farfetched even for Detective Galileo. The convoluted way the crime was committed by some ordinary people with minimum knowledge of science is quite the stretch. Also, there is far too much time spent on the theories regarding how the crime was committed. The pace is slow(er than usual) and not really interesting.

2.5 - The final book in the series and it was brutally slow. The crime itself wasn’t very exciting and there were so many characters with very little motive to make the suspense worth it.

Phew .. 2.75 at best. I always appreciate the effort the author takes to construct elaborate ploys that the detectives are never quite able to figure out without the help of an overeager physicist… however, there are some things I cannot easily forgive and I just loathe the “oh and to make things worse - the victim was pregnant” trope. No thanks.

I’m happy I finished all translated books in this series and don’t know if I would continue if there ever was a #5
