I loved It!! I have nothing bad to say about this book except that it ended. I want more. There were so many twists and turns and great characters that I just fell in love with. It was a great read. If you love Zombies then you will love this book. :)

I hate zombie apocalypse-themed anything. The zombies anything trend nowadays is so annoying to me, actually. People kept recycling clichés with Zombies! as the "twist" in their stories. SOOO ANNOYING. Zombieland is, I think, the only one I enjoyed. So anyway, I didn't have as bad an experience in reading this book because my suspension of disbelief is so up there like when I watched Zombieland. I didn't take any of it seriously. I also find cats (and practically any fluffy or furry creature out there) incredibly cute that although
Spoilerthe lioness situation
was absolutely unbelievable, it didn't turn me off. This was for me a less-funny version of Zombieland. *shrug* I can't complain much since I got this for free and I didn't have to slog through tons of pages like lots of other books out there.

If it were an option, I probably would have given this book a 3.5, but it's not, so I rounded up. While I didn't care for many of the secondary characters (they were annoying and needed to die), Remy was pretty badass and I appreciated her commentary. As for the plot, I've read way worse and I don't see why everyone keeps complaining about it. It was your typical apocalyptic zombies taking over the world story. It wasn't hard to figure about what was going to happen next (except for the lion, and I still don't understand where the hell the lion came from)but all in all it was still a pretty good read.

Fast paced and thrilling, I really loved this book.

I throughly enjoyed it and it took me all of two days to finish, very worth it and glad I read this adventurous post apocalyptic novel.

Very happy with the book

Not an amazing book by any means and there were some grammatical errors that pulled me out of the story at times but overall it was a fun, easy read. I was a little blah about the ending though. The author was trying to leave a cliffhanger to get you to read the next book in the series but it didn't leave me dying to know what would happen next enough to actually read the next book.

Hollowland is a book for young adults, written BY a young adult. The language and writing style is most definitely not an adult trying to write a book for teens. I found the book to be a lot of fun, but definitely not one for emotion or a deeper purpose. The action of the story was in constant movement, some items seemed to be throw in "just to be there" and character development was lacking... I don't mean these as harsh criticisms, only that you should take the book for what it is. Enjoy it!

And fast and fun read that was part Walking Dead, part 28 Days Later, and a sprinkle of Buffy. Now I have to get book 2 and see what happens next!

I've only read a few pages, but may pick up and read later. I couldn't get over some of the typos and pacing.
