A bit underwhelmed with this drawn out and predictable read.

I've been on a NR kick this year, and decided to try one of her more recent suspense. IMO, it's not true suspense, but I still found it enjoyable. I adored Shelby's family and the TN setting. Griff was delicious, and I find myself drawn to her good guy heroes.

Audio notes: I liked this narrator until the TN accents of all the minor characters became overwhelming. I wouldn't discourage anyone from the audio, but the accents were distracting at times and over the top.

I could almost see where this book was going but the ending still had some surprise. Also, I LOVE how the little girl fit into the story. The fact that he fell in love with her and was immediately the person she deserved in his life made my rating on this book go up. I also get a good kick out of a strong independent female lead

After finishing this book I just have one burning question. Why was the author so obsessed with the characters drinking Coke? Did she have a sponsorship deal?! She spent more time describing them specifically drinking Coke than she did on the climax scene.
