Okay so we finally got Aiden's POV and the dark romance is romancing at last.
Elsa continues to be annoying af when she refuses to accept what we all know, and she chooses delulu every time and that is not the solulu, girl.
But I like it better than the previous one, and the snippets of Astrid and Levi were nice. I like how you can see the other stories starting to intertwine.
The mystery got really interesting and that ending was a masterclas  in cliffhangers.
And, of course, the smut continues to do the smutting pretty well.
So... I'll go grab the next one, thank you very much.

I enjoyed the first book, ‘Deviant king’ compared to ‘Steel Princess’. Although the book was plot-driven and developed on the morally ambiguous actions of the characters, I felt there were stages where I was bored or wanted to skip to the climax of the second book. If the book didn’t include the plot twist at the end I would say the author could have packed everything into two books instead of three.

The writing felt repetitive at stages as the author repeated phrases like “even if I wanted to”, “I would never cry for him”, which was frustrating to read. I also felt this pushed me to become annoyed with the characters and choices.

Nevertheless, the book definitely developed on the plot of the trilogy and I will read the next book.

okay this was slightly better than the first one only because we finally got some answers to elsa's mysterious past. but it was annoying that the entire book was spent between the characters having sex just to get some tidbits of info right after they fucked. it made the book incredibly repetitive, and it didn't help that elsa was still a doormat heroine despite her saying she was gonna 'beat aiden at his own game' -which clearly never happened-, and aiden a piece of trash. i can't care less about this couple i just want the side characters' books pls
