I enjoyed this. It was fun and well-drawn. It unapologetically-yet-playfully has an intersectional feminist agenda about how people should be able to be free to be themselves and make their own choices, yet also rely on each other and take responsibility for the good of the community.
A black female king? A child with no obvious gender? A happy, competent woman in a wheelchair? A smart blonde? Wow, these things can be in a book and the world won't explode.

Works really well as a ya title I think. It’s Tons of fun. Not deep or earth shattering, but I don’t think it’s trying to be? Coulda been at least a little gayness, I swear ladycastle is an amazing euphemism for a vulva anywho...
