I get why we needed this story but it’s different once you’ve read the whole series.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT'S COOL? Sarah J Maas' exquisite writing, Celaena's badassery, good books, Samleana <3, flying shoes, unlimited food
DO YOU KNOW WHAT'S NOT COOL? Sam Cortland's death, Celaena going rouge, Arobynn's betrayal, going to Endovier. ME TAKING A MONTH TO FINISH THIS BLOODY BOOK

So this is the last part in Assassin's Blade, certainly the most contagious and bipolar short story ever. Not cool SARAH. Not cool.

It begins with Adarlan's most notorious assassin returning to rithford from a three month hiatus in the Red Dessert. Celaena is almost a new gal, she experienced so many wonderful discoveries of friendship, trust and her self in the past month she's going to verbally slap Arobynn in the face with her pride. Wait omgshh this is the wrong one I think. YES IT IS IGNORE ABOVE PARAGRAPH

It is 11 days leading up to inevitable events of loosing someone important in her life. And its almost like accidentally turning the shower water too hot because you though you could stand the heat but you end up burning your naked ass. But this time the water is actually lava and liquid hell which constantly burns hotter. ---> that is what it feels like to read this.

Sam Cortland. Where do I begin. In the short time I've known this fella I've become seriously attached to this loyal and passionate person. He is strong, humble, positive and hilarious. He has become a beacon in her life and she feels like she owns him a life and that it is her duty to protect him. Sam is this wonderful character who is so precious and is a symbolically significant in pretty much the whole TOG series. He is brought up multiple occasions in the books and he is a real driving force in Cel entering a new phase and mentality in her life. Which is her savageness and viciousness upgraded by 99999% In Throne of Glass she almost isn't human, she lost that connection that made her a human and she is no longer herself. That "innocent" part of her died the same time she realised Sam was tortured to death. (Im kinda hyperbolising but you get the gist) The very light in her deep void was guttered. I sucks that she saw a whole future with him. It sucks that she never said she loved him. It sucks that she never told him the truth of her past. It sucks this part really.

Arobynn Hamel is a pathetic, idiotic, narcissistic, pathalogical sadist and he belongs nowhere in any world or realm and I hate this bastards little ass so much... I JUST... AEKNANFSJASSENADI!!! But honestly he is a really interesting character and I kind of want a series on this old saggy pervert. If I am correct if he is 35 and celaena is 17 and she met him when she was 9 I Think and that was 8 years ago making him 27 when he adopted her. I really want to see his history I find it enticing on how he became the leader of the assassin guild in the north it just seems pretty interesting.

Celaena is probably at the most lowest down point in her life and it sucks that everything happens so quickly its insane!!!

really appreciate this series no matter what SJM throws in KINGDOM OF ASH I will be ready bc I am Celaena Sardothien and I will not be afraid.

I didn’t not ask for tears but I certainly got them….beautifully written. I’m never disappointed with SJM. She surely knows how to grab you by the heartstrings.

All in all, the books was good. However, I felt like the author went the easier route and didn't describe the death. I know that we should be intrigued to read the second book, but come on, we all were waiting for a good fight. I believe I didn't enjoy it as much, just because I read the reviews before and kind of knew what is going to happen. It didn't come unexpected, I had time to prepare myself..So now, when I known everything about Celeana's past, I can't wait to find out about her next adventure. I just hope there will be more love stories..

This story has by far been the best one! I loved it! It made me laugh, it made me cry, and it made me ANGRY!

I actually felt Sam and Celaena's relationship in this story. Their feelings for each other were conveyed and I felt like they were more real in this story then they had been in previous stories. It was cute, and they both are so protective of each other.
Celaena did not tell Sam that she loved him before he died!! It made me so sad! He told her that he loved her and she complained about packing. When Sam didn't come home, why didn't she go looking for him in Farran's house or something??

I AM FURIOUS WITH AROBYNN!!! He claims to love her and then he goes and has Sam killed because he doesn't want to share Celaena???? WHO DOES THAT?! I hope Celaena kills him and Farran in the future after he betrayed her and Sam! UGH!!!!

Fun read. I feel a little disappointed that Caelena's history as an assassin is kind of shrugged off (we are told she is the best, but she does not pull off particularly impressive jobs during the novellas, plus her job does not seem to leave a mark on her).
