The idea is cute -- fairy godmothers setting people up. I thought it was gonna be an enemies to lovers situation (and I might read the second one, in hopes that one will deliver). I chose to read it, so I was willing to buy in, but it was even sillier than I'd expected.

Poor unlucky Lucky. I was really feeling bad for her, but by the end of the book her "luck" turned around. The Godmothers were cute and I look forward to more books in the series.

I had no idea where the author was going to go with this story, but I am in when it comes to fairytale re-writes. I enjoyed this story fully. The tidbits of the Fairy Godmothers home, Ever After, and all the characters we have heard about for years are here. So are the side characters, the stores, the castle, and can I tell you about the cherry trees? Total laugh out loud moment. But Ever After is failing, and the GM's do not know why, could it be because of a little less love in the world? The way they go about fixing the "issue" is perfectly romantic, hilarious & just downright fun. If you have ever had the itch to go visit Ever After, this story will plant you right there, talking animals included.

In Saranna Wylde’s new rom-com, Fairy Godmothers, Inc., magic is in the air, and so is love! This first book in a new series, released on December 29th, shows how sometimes all love needs is a little nudge in the right direction via some meddling fairy godmothers.

This was a cute romance about luck and love. I really enjoyed the fairy tale elements and how different fairy tales were represented in the town. There’s a little bit of steam in this book, but this is a more lighthearted and fun book rather than a hot and heavy one.

While I loved the concept of this fake marriage with real magic involved and meddling fairy godmothers it wasn’t as amazing as I was hoping. It just felt like there were too many moving parts: Lucky and Ransom’s romance, Lucky’s bad luck curse, Gwen’s martial issues, Roderick and Gwen’s budding romance, Lucky not knowing about magic, the town’s magic issues, and so on. It just felt like a lot got thrown into this book. While I’m sure most if it was done to prepare to continue this series, it still felt like information overload at some points.

So did I love this book? No. Did I like it? Yes. Will I continue reading this series? Probably. So take that however you want. If you’re looking for a rom-com with a touch of magic and a little silliness then this book is definitely worth a read!

*I received an ARC from Goodreads and Kensington Books.

This was written in the form of a fairytale. The characters were similar to traditional fairytales. The residents of Ever After were all charming and magically. It was enjoyable to read some of the antics the fairy godmothers got into trying to get Lucky and Random together. Unfortunately Lucky herself is not so lucky. Everyone she touches seems to experience bad things happening to them. This makes things very complicated for her and Ransom. She loves him but doesn’t want him to suffer because of her luck. She must find some way to embrace her “luck” and be happy. This whole bad luck thing was a little far fetched. I mean how can one person cause people this many problems? But, it is a fairytale book, right? I love some of the characters in the town like Gammy, Rosebud, the godmothers. All are unique and charming. I enjoyed the book and would probably read more in the series. I received a copy of this book from BookishFirst for my honest opinion.
