“The true success of a person is not in if she can make her life work; it’s if she can die to her life enough for Jesus to work in her.”

Ummm… Get out of my business Lisa Whittle, you don’t know me! That was my first thought when I heard her read that line above. But she doesn’t have to know me, because our sinful desire as people is to make our life work on our terms. But over and over again in life I have realized that life is better if Jesus is in control. If Jesus is over everything as Lisa says. This book was a pointed and yet gentle reminder of how much better life is when it is structured around a Jesus first mindset, instead of a me first mindset. Lisa shares vulnerable stories from her own life so you can relate to what this looks like in the day to day. And what it looks like when you get out of whack.

Thank you to NetGalley and W Publishing for a free digital copy that I read in partnership with the audio.
