Three stars for effort.

I'm getting a bit bored about this series. I'm not sure why. Maybe is the predictability of the cases, or that the recurrent characters are becoming less and less interesting.

In this book, Cross joins the F.B.I. He's immediately taking out of training to join a case, which his boss doesn't seem to like the idea. So here is the awful boss situation yet again.

His relationship with Jam is starting to crumble. What a surprise. And Christine Johnson comes back to take little Alex from him. Shocking.

I still want to read the series, but I'm hoping for some improvements.

2007, This was the first book I read for James Patterson and it got me hooked. I didn't know it was part of a series and definitely not the 9th book in it either or I would have started with the first. But the synopsis of the story intrigued me and hooked me and now i'm a FAN!!
It grips you from the first page..!!

The Big Bad Wolf had a lot of messes within this book. It constantly made me question what the hell Alex was doing. I get that he is in a new job at the FBI but he was a god damn detective before this .. so why the hell did he make so many mistakes in this book?? I have no idea but that's why I took a star away.

I also gave it four stars because Christine came back and I just didn't like her or what she did. I really hope she doesn't appear in the next book, like at all. Then there's the whole "Wolf" thing because you never knew who the wolf actually was. There were way too many suspects to keep track of and at one point I just gave up and didn't even try to predict how this book would end.

Other than that I really liked his family moments and how his family was adjusting to his new job. I love how Nana gave him crap about him working longer hours than he used to and for working more than he said he would. I just love Nana so freaking much.

I need more of Nana please. Also, can Alex stop messing up so much?

Another exciting novel delivered by James Patterson. I can't seem to put any of the Alex Cross books down. Fast paced excitement at every twist and turn.

A very quick read, kind of filler, I think to keep the Alex Cross series going and introducing a new character, the Wolf.
