This was okay. We've got a fire starter named Symphony who is just trying to make money to save her home. She's doing anything she can to make the cash fast. When she meets arson investigator Nathan, her world is shaken. They're instantly in love. The timeline of the story is very fast paced and sweeps you up like a whirlwind. I definitely felt bad for Symphony for being misunderstood. The way everyone seemed to jump to conclusions about her made me feel bad for her. Nathan was pretty yummy in his understanding, but when he jumps to the wrong conclusion, I was upset and wanted to smack him. The ending gets pretty crazy. I think I would have liked it to be longer and with more detail to smooth out the details and get to know the characters better.

#rippedbodicebingo: firefighters

Possessive alphahole heroes are most definitely not for me, ESPECIALLY not combined with vulnerable virgin heroines in precarious situations. This guy was an asshole and I didn't trust him as far as I could throw him, and the power dynamics and potential for disaster made me fear for the heroine basically the whole time.

An extra star for the concept, though: heroine whose anxiety manifests as pyromania, stuck in a genuinely hard place, the firefighter who falls for her.
