Meddy and her aunties kept me laughing throughout this book, just as they did in Dial A for Aunties. The premise of this book was wild, and the story was definitely full of antics. At times, the antics got somewhat repetitive and the twists were a bit obvious, but it was a fun ride. I appreciated the author’s note about her goal for the book at the beginning, but without that context I’m not sure I would’ve picked up on what she intended. I did appreciate the growth of the relationship between Meddy and her aunts/ma and the realization she comes to at the end. Overall, a fun time!

This book is hilarious! I love this family! I loved book one and I love this one just as much! The writing style is great. It's lighthearted even though it's a murder plot. Meddy and Nathan are getting married! Ma and the aunties are excited. They go all out on their outfits and they agree to hire someone else to handle the event.  Unfortunately, they hire a mob family who plans to assassinate a guest at the wedding. Meddy and her family spend her special day trying to find out who the target is and how they can stop it.

I enjoyed this second installment just as much as the first! This book is outrageous and yet authentic, and what I love most is the story of Meddy's family. Risa Mei's audio is outstanding.

Is this book unrealistic and absolutely bonkers? Oh a 100%. Did I still enjoy it? Yes.

I would recommend the audiobook version.

The Aunties came through in this book in their true Tita way. We got lots of personality and laugh out moments in this one. Although the plot was outlandish I still enjoyed the story. I do recommend the audiobook for this series as the humour along with the dialect has a big impact on the story. I didn't enjoy this as much as the first book but definitely think it's worth the read!
