The first half of the book was honestly kind of slow (although still intriguing) butttt then it definitely picked up after that. I LOVE me a mom story, so Louisa's story was chefs kiss. I also loved how ordinary everything was, it just made it seem more personal and realistic. As much as I was annoyed with the characters (only one, aka Steven) they were so realistic and I think the author did a great job in writing them. I also truly believe this book portrays the struggles and the reality of being a women, especially a mom and all the nuances that come with all the responsibilities. I had originally given the book a 4 star rating but I was talking through what happened in the book book realized there was soooooo much analysis there that was so clever and witty so 5 stars is more fitting for this book because the author did an EXCELLENT job. I highly recommend!! It's such a cute and heartwarming novel :)

Enjoyed. I liked that I didn’t like all
Of the characters but ended up being happy they were there. Liked the children’s perspectives the best.

Great characters and story line. I loved the letters Abigail wrote to her dad. And Matty and Hazel were adorable! Tackled a lot of tough issues (Alzheimer’s, infidelity, relationship struggles, and so much more) but all of it was done in a way that really sucks you in and keeps your attention. The setting def made me want to visit Maine in the summertime!
