Okay I am a sucker for a good mafia storyline and this had so much promise and hope and I think booktok hyped it a bit too much

The general storyline from books 1-4 war among three families one lead steals the daughter of another and promises guns to the other 5/5 we have that

Character development something about the chsrscters felt well.. for lack of a better term bipolar
One second they are making the changes opening themselves ( carter and aria ) and the next they are paranoid yelling screaming lying again.. and kept going backwards to go forwards but not actually making progress

Fast action scenes which I loved but hate that so many chapters where plot was being created around were killed off and it just seemed rushed and in others like it dragged on

Ending the last book with a baby on the way ( sorry spoilers ) and jase”s story coming up next

I dunno.. it was “ okay” and that’s the only way I can describe this
The spice was there there was danger and dark vibes but it could have been different I’m not sure how but it was lacking for me

Terrible book. Gave me the ick all the way through. The author repeats herself constantly, it’s like she only knows one or two sentences and just copy and pastes them. It could be summed up in probably 100 pages but instead the author tortures you through 4 books. This is much like how the man tortures the main character, Aria, and the author veils it as consensual because Aria says yes only once his “massive” d*** is in her. It’s not sexy and not well written. It made me so uncomfortable I skipped a lot of it. I only finished reading it so I could count it towards my yearly book challenge. Don’t waste your time like I did. Awful.

All He'll Ever Be is the entire Merciless series in one collection, and I could not get enough of the Cross brothers and Carter and Aria! I love a good fairytale retelling, and we've gotten our beauty and our beast with Aria and Carter and their fantastic banter, chemistry, and angsty tension. Add in the relationships between the Cross brothers and the action with the mafia families, and I was totally invested in this collection from beginning to end.

"In her strength, she is at her most beautiful."

1. Stockholm Syndrome should NEVER be romanticized like it was in this book
2. WTF was that unintentional pregnancy trapping
3. The writing is just repetitive and god awful
4. It is, in fact, not that serious to warrant 4 books/700+ pages
5. I literally just wasted multiple days of my life to read this book
