I feel like this series could have been a standalone. It was one giant origin story. The romance between Crystal and Robin was really cute though.

I thought the mystery aspect in this book was done a lot better than the first and second book, but was about the same as the third book (not a bad thing). I didn't like how there wasn't as much explanation for Crystal bumping her head and somehow having that cause her to lose some of her powers. I just don't get how those can connect considering in the beginning of the series her mom says anyone can be psychic if they practice and believe. I also don't like how Crystal seems to learn lessons throughout the book of not keeping secrets but then in this book she turns around and ignores everything she learns. HOWEVER, I do think that is very 'teenager' of her so I'll say it's okay for this case. Overall I really loved the story this one told it was very interesting and grabbed my attention.

I am so glad to be done with this series. The first book set up really well but I found that every following book drove me crazy. The cover is pretty though.
