Veramente originale, ben scritto e interessante.

This was my first Akwaeke Emezi book. It has only confirmed with absolute certainty that I want to read more by them.
Wow, what an original and interesting story while also being heartbreaking and relatable in how specific and triggering experiences that happen TO us can change our trajectory and personality. (How protecting the self can look and feel).

A very unique approach to mental health and spiritualism. Dark yet hopeful.

Beautifully written. A challenging but incredibly valuable read. The exploration of oneself, culture, mental health and gender and sexual identity throughout the novel was done in a way I’ve never seen it done before. Definitely a must read and another incredible work from this author, I would just recommend checking trigger warnings before reading.

i wish there were more books like this. i loved reading about multiplicity from a depathologized lens, and entirely from a system's pov.

note: definitelyyy check the trigger warnings on this one, friends.
