Holy crap... This book was something I don't think I will ever experience again. While being utterly vial, disgusting, nauseating even at times, this book also explored the social commentary that surrounded the 1980s AIDS epidemic in a way I was completely unprepared for. This book is the definition of splatterpunk, but also took it so much farther than gratuitous gore. It did it's best to earn the Blood that seeps throughout its pages and I think it did in fact succeed. 

This is definitely not a book I would recommend almost anyone, but goddang was it an experience that I'm thankful to have had
