"My life is about to begin."
It is devastating to watch Seiichi's complete unraveling.

It's always a rollercoaster with this manga.
- Miyashita, a detective, is assigned to Seiichi. Since he doesn't talk, M. gives Seiichi a notebook so he can record what he wants to discuss.
- Man, every time I see Seiichi's dad, I can't stand how pitiful he is. All he can do is apologize.
- Seiko knows about the murder, but all she does is keep quiet and cry.
- Like we've already seen, all Seiichi thinks about is his mom.
- During their next meeting, after seeing what Seiichi has written and drawn in his noteobook, M. deduces how deeply Seiko has burrowed her personality onto Seiichi, effectively erasing his own sense of self. M. tells Seiichi that he needs to start to develop his own personality.
- Seiko's case has changed. While at first she admitted to having pushed Shigeru off the cliff, she now says he fell off on his own. Police ask Seiichi to confirm what he "saw." Seiichi starts to lose it, think that Shigeru died for nothing...Seiko gets off and is again a free woman.
- But why won't Mommy come see me?
- I swear this lady is continuing her mind games, and Seiichi looks terrible. His face has become all eyes.
- At his trial, Seiichi sees his mom again after all this time. She's gotten a haircut. Won't acknowledge her son. And why, I wonder?
- As the trial starts, Seiichi has trouble talking in that stuttering manner we haven't seen in so long.
- Bitch says, "I quit. I quit being a mother."
- Walk away, Seiichi and Seiichi's dad!
- Seiichi pulls his mom to the ground and tries to choke her as she turns to walk away. And all she says is, "Oh, I see."
- The rest of the trial continues in a blur. Seiichi'll be sent to a juvenile reform facility.
- Everything returns to nothing.

HIS MAMA AIN'T SHIT! I swear ya'll, I have never disliked a character more than her. She is literally turning him into a complete monster. There is nothing that I can say about this volume due to spoilers, but I must say that Oshimi is a mastermind. The comments on nature vs. nurture whether intentional or not have me thinking some interesting things! I am sooooo excited to get volume 13 where the real story will begin!
